Parts Engineer

Reference: ES12

Contract & Location: ESES, Greenbelt – Goddard, MD

Requirements:

• BSEE, Physical Science or equivalent
• 3 yrs experience with the construction, operation, and testing of EEE parts
• Familiar with NASA and military specifications, standards, and handbooks for EEE parts
• Background in metallurgy, chemistry, or electronic devices and familiarity with each
• Excellent communications skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Parts Control Plan for the project and assist in the preparation of purchase orders for parts and prepare specification control drawings
• Prepare and review test plans for screening, qualification, and destructive physical analysis activities
• Maintain database on status of parts procurement and testing
• Perform tests, analysis and design validation for parts, materials, and processes on aerospace hardware
• Provide technical assistance to project parts, design, and test engineers
• Review and prepare specifications and drawings as needed
